The Green Movement

"We desperately need to recognize that we are the guests not the masters of nature and adopt a new paradigm for development, based on the costs and benefits to all people, and bound by the limits of nature herself rather than the limits of technology and consumerism."

Mikhail Gorbachev
Founding President and Member of the Board of the Directors
Green Cross International

Environmentalism is defined as a concern for the preservation and restoration of the environment. Thoreau, in line with the enlightened Seers of India, advocated a Life in Rhythm with Natural Law. Return to Nature, as Nature never did betray the heart that loved Her.

Environmentalism is against the unscrupulous exploitation of Nature. The Green Movement maintains that a tree is equal to ten sons ( Dasa Putro Sama Druma ).
